Preparing your own wedding is the most exciting part. The most important is to know your budget. How much are you willing to spend? When you know your budget make a list of the things needed for the wedding. Now a day’s there are wedding planners who will take care all your requirements for your wedding with a certain amount of fee depending how simple or elaborate your plans are. There is nothing like planning your own wedding. It takes a lot of time and patience from both of you and your family. You will need their help or your friends if you have limited budget or just simply like doing it.

Some suggestions of what you need to do and plan ahead of time:

y) Plan the menu depending the time of the reception – will it be breakfast; brunch; cocktails with dinner. Who will make your wedding cake? What kind of cake? What is the motif? Will you have favors placed inside cake to pull? Will you offer wine to the guests? Will you have a toast for the bride and groom?

2) Will you have a spokesman in the church and receptions? Will you have a choir or a singer? Will there be dancing at the reception? Will there be a video of your childhood? Will there be games? Will you throw your bouquet?

Preparing for a wedding is hard work, coordination and lots of planning and checking of things must be done and prepared. It will take a lot of time on your part and patience. Both of you will be excited but at the same time you may experience tensions on both sides. Bear in mind that this is your wedding, your dream of a lifetime of having a family.
